YDEU Organizing Unit
Yenepoya Dental Education Unit (YDEU), was initiated as a FAIMER Project Under the Guidance of Dr.B.H.Sripathi Rao Former Dean/Principal Yenepoya Dental College in the year 2019. Under the guidance of Dr.Akhter Husain, after consultations, the formulation of the bye-laws for the YDEU was done and presented. The University approved the Bye Laws on July 2020 to function as a unit of Yenepoya Centre for Faculty Development (Yen-FDC). On 18th July 2020, Dr.Akhter Husain Former Dean YDC notified the YDEU with Dr.Imran Pasha M as the Coordinator. The Reconstitution of the Unit was done July 2022. The YDEU is functioning with Dr.Laxmikanth Chatra as the Chairman of the unit.

About Yenepoya ( Deemed to be University )
The first private Deemed to be University in the Dakshina Kannada district, Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) was established in the year 2008. It was established with the vision to provide quality higher education in health sciences and related areas. The institute strives to foster academic excellence and global competencies among the students. Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) runs the PhD programme, National Service Scheme (NSS) and has established the Centres for Research, Ethics, Faculty Development Centre (YEN-FDC) and Substance Abuse Prevention. It maintains the social commitment by adopting nearby villages for comprehensive health care, through the Rural Health Care and Development Centre.
